So it's the new year and we need to detox from all of the holiday cakes, cookies and pies. Not to mention the savory foods from the family gatherings. The month of January is going to be dedicated to getting the toxins out of the body. Here is a basic recipe to get you started.
Ingredients: 1 Blender or Juicer, 1 Knife, 1 Cutting Board, 1 Grapefruit, 1 Lemon, 1 Lime, 1 Pineapple, 12 Blueberries, 2 Kale leaves (Stems are optional), 1oz of Ginger and Turmeric, 12-14oz Coconut or Spring water
Directions: Rinse all fruit off. Add Blueberries, Kale, Pineapple (the fruit not the peel), Cut Citrus fruits in half, squeeze and scoop the inside out and add 1oz of the peel of each. Add Ginger and Turmeric. Add Coconut or Spring water and blend. Strain the liquid from the pulp. The pulp can be eaten as a snack. keep refrigerated and drink within 5 days.
