Week two is rocked and ready to go... As you know the month of January is all about detoxing the body from all that holiday cheer!!! Well all know the saying "If its green its good for you" What better way to introduce this recipe to keep the momentum up on your weeks of detoxing! Don't worry, these detox recipes take a small while to go through your system so don't worry about running to the restroom in a hurry.
Ingredients: 1 Blender or Juicer, 4 Kale leaves (stems are optional), 2 green apples cut (not peeled), 1 cup of spinach, 1 handful of broccoli, pea shoot and/or alfalfa sprouts (one or all will do just fine), 1 Mango (peeled), 1/2 cup Pineapples or 1 banana, 1 juiced lime with some zest (be the judge of your own zest. I like it so I use 1/2 the lime), 12oz Spring water or coconut water
Directions: Rinse all fruit and vegetables thoroughly. Place all items into the juicer/blender. Add 3oz of spring/coconut water and blend. Gradually add water until you have no more. Let the mixture blend until everything is smooth. Strain juice from pulp (if necessary or you don't like pulp.) Place pulp in a freezer bag and store in the freezer until you are ready to use the mixture again. (Add 1/2 the amount of spring/coconut water) This may be consumed right away or placed in the refrigerator for later. Enjoy this beverage as a morning shake, throughout the day or before sleeping to get your body ready for a morning BM!!!!
