Rose/Lemongrass Water
Floral waters are great for the skin because they allow moisture to retain in the skin and boost hydration. They are loaded with antioxidants and serve a great purpose. The floral extractions allow more vitamins to reach past the skins surface. They are great at protecting the skin from free radicals and helps with cell turn over. We have two different recipes one for dry or hydrated skin and one for oily over productive skin to create balance.
Ingredients: Distilled Water, 1 Dozen Roses (petals off and rinsed in cold water) (if fresh roses are not in stock you can get dried rose petals 1 pound), 1 Spray Bottle, Stainless Steel Pot, Stainless Steel Strainer, Glass Bowl, Spoon
Ingredients: Distilled Water, 1 Pound Lemongrass Stalks (cut rinsed in cold water) (if no stalks are available, you can opt in for dried lemongrass), 1 Spray Bottle, Stainless Steel Pot, Stainless Steel Strainer, Glass Bowl, Spoon
Directions: Add roses/lemongrass to pot and cover with water. place on medium high heat until it reaches a boil. Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer stirring occasionally for 30 to 45 minutes. Strain into a bowl and allow to cool. pour into spray bottle. Store in a cool place or the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
To use: Rose/Lemongrass Water may be used as a toner after cleansing the skin, to set makeup in place or even touch it up throughout the day. It can also be used to refresh the skin and body. This can also be used as a refresh to second day hair and even to boost your leave-in conditioners.
