Lemony Sugar Scrub

Sugar scrubs are great for all times of the year. They help to keep the natural glow of the skin and speed up cell recovery. It is so important that we remove dead skin cells to make space for the new ones. All skin should feel smooth at all times. The ingredients in this recipe make it so you are able to get the same results using less sugar.

The molecules in sugar are large so they cannot penetrate into the skin, however it can definitely be used to slough off dead skin. Glycolic acid is a natural occurrence in sugar and is responsible for accelerating the removal of dead skin cells. Sugar also has a high moisture content making it perfect for clearing off old skin.

Lemons are high in vitamin C and citric acid making it a great cleanser for the skin. It is also great for clearing up blemishes or acne, making this scrub great for anyone who has body acne.

We have added grape seed oil to this formula due to its abilities to hydrate and not clog the pores.

The liquid castle soap gives the skin a mild cleansing without drying out the skin. It allows the sugar molecules to glide freely across the skin and cleanse it at the same time.
