We are doing our best to stay safe and keep everything together in our lives. It is a day to day challenge that we must keep fighting to win. One great thing to know is about mucus and mucus levels in the body. Our body naturally produces mucus. It is normally found in the nasal cavity. This is a normal production and usually comes out the nose or mouth via your morning brushing and blowing routine. When there is an overproduction you need to limit yourselves from certain mucus building foods such as dairy and bananas to name a few. Mucus is in meat as well. Here is a recipe that will keep your immune system in tact and help your body feel healthy.
Lemons: a great source of vitamin C and antioxidants. They help to boost health and overall well being of the body. Assists in fat burning as well.
Ginger: A common treatment for upset stomach and nausea. Ginger aids in digestion and saliva flow. It reduces nausea and vomiting in some pregnant women. It is also a fat burner and helps with keeping mucus levels down.
Turmeric: Aids in reducing blood cholesterol, osteoarthritis pain, or relieving itching caused by chronic kidney disease. It is anti-inflammatory which makes it ideal for reducing mucus in the body.
Pineapples: Contains a high amount of vitamin C. They are great for breaking down enzymes in the body. Its one of the best fruits to eat when you're sick. This fruit helps burn fats and is heart healthy.
Ingredients: 3 Lemons, 3 1inch pieces of Ginger and Turmeric, 1 Pineapple, 1 Knife, 1 Pot, 4cups Spring water, 1 Pot with Lid
Directions: Cut lemons in half. Lay the knife on each ginger and turmeric pieces and smash it (like a clove of garlic). Peel the skin off the pineapple and set the pineapple aside (use the fruit for a smoothies or eat it throughout the week.). Rinse everything off and place in the pot. Add water and place lid on the pot. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and place into a pitcher.
