Avocado Conditioning Treatment

If your hair is super dry and sucking all of your products up or even just lacks luster, try this treatment.

Ingredients: 1 ripe avocado (the outside should be dark and soft to touch), Plastic cap, 1/2 cup of Olive, Almond, Grapeseed or Jojoba oil. Virgin or unrefined oils work best, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 4oz of coconut oil, 4 drops of Lavender and/or Tea Tree essential oil

Directions: Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop the inside of the avocado out. Mash with hands, a fork or place in a food processer until smooth. Pre melt coconut oil by placing the jar in warm water or placing the oil in a glass container and heating it in 30 second intervals. Add oils, cinnamon and essential oil to the avocado and stir until mixture is completely blended. Section hair into 4 or 8 sections. Apply a generous amount to each section of the hair (place in the scalp if its dry too). Comb each section through using a wide tooth comb to ensure mixture is equally distributed. Apply plastic cap over the head and leave on for at least 30 minutes. If you have a dryer feel free to sit under the dryer. Rinse thoroughly and follow with a sulfate free hair care regimen. Left over mixture lasts for one week. Avocados will turn brown due to oxidation.
